Rene Steer

Luton born left back Rene, has taken over as the regular full back for the Reserves, tough tackling no nonsense Steer arrived at Arsenal aged 13 after being scouted playing for his School Team.

He netted the winning penalty as Arsenal beat Bristol City in the F.A Youth Cup in 2007, capping of a great season for Rene in which he was one of the star performers was Arsenal travelled to Hong Kong for the soccer sevens tournament.

Rene will find it very difficult to break through with Gael Clichy, and Armand Traore ahead of him. But in September 2007 he penned a two year pro contract, and this term has added a more attacking aspect to his play, willing to push forward more, it gives Arsenal another option out wide.
