36. Mark Randall

A classy central midfielder with an eye for a pass , Mark has added class and style to the Reserves since joining in 2005.
Over the past two seasons Randall has been taken with the first team pre-season training camp in Austria, the summer of 2007 saw him starting on the left side of midfield putting in a rugged performance before being replaced in the second half, it seems Mark has become a favourite with not just fans but also the management penning a pro contract in February 2007,
His first start for the first team came this season on the right of midfield in the Carling Cup quarter-final against Blackburn getting a good passing move going before feeding Nicklas Bendtner who crossed for Abou Diaby to score.
With Fran Merida leaving on loan the Reserves will look to Randall be there play-maker, but its not just starting moves he can do, when it comes to finishing them he always seems to find the space, the question is, can he replicate his second string form in the first team.
On January transfer deadline day, he joined Championship side, Burnley on loan until the end of the campaign.

good player great cross good woth the ball at his feet and has a nice pass
Has Randall ever played for any England’s youth teams? I have said it more than once before on this blog, I don’t think Randall will make it.
Tidy player, who reminds me a bit of Bentley (without the attitude!). Would be nice to see a few British lads involved in the first team. Could make a push for the right side of midfield … He’s got to be a better option than Eboue!
Saw him at Sunderland on the last day of the season and (I think) he replaced Eboue - and did well. Only had about 15 mins but contributed more in those 15 mins than Eboue did for 75 … Hope he continues on and presses for that first team place
