34. Kieran Gibbs

Kieran shot to fame in 2006 after scoring in both legs against Man Utd in the FA Youth Cup, but he couldn’t prevent Arsenal from going out of the tournament.

Starting out at Wimbledon, he was invited for a trial when their Academy disbanded and became Milton Keynes Dons. He impressed and Arsenal snapped him up.

He was handed a start in pre-season last year in the Emirates Cup match against Inter Milan, he was excellent and unlucky not to get on the score sheet against the Italian Champions.

Kieran who prefers to play centrally has been learning his trade as a left midfield for the youth team but showed his versatility by starting at left back for the first team against Sheffield United in the Carling Cup run, chipping the ball over the back four for Eduardo to score.

A silky winger who loves to drop his shoulder and come inside is one of the more experience players in the Reserves this season.

On September 10 2007, Gibbs signed a two year professional contract with the Club, and was loaned to Championship side Norwich City, on January 31st on a three month long deal.

In April he returned after making 6 starts and 1 appearance from the substitutes bench, the experience of being in a first team environment will stand Kieran in good stead.
