Jason Banton

Talented Forward Jason Banton is in his second spell with the club after leaving in January 2008, before returning a few weeks later after spells with West Ham and Tottenham.
He was offered scholarship terms at the start of the year, and despite being one of the most talented players in the system a deal was agreed for him to join North London rivals Tottenham, but things did not work out in his short time with Spurs and he joined West Ham on trial.
However Arsenal signed him back with Ahmed Abdulla leaving the club, and he has shone, his partnership with Benik Afobe in the Under 16’s has been fantastic, blessed with superb pace and energy, Jason can play wide on the right, where he scored for England Youth in the Victory Shield as they won the trophy, or as a supporting striker where his eye for a pass and classy play-making mean he is a danger to any defence.
Next season should see Banton step up to the competitive Under 18’s league, a huge challenge for the local boy, but his has all the atributes to offer Steve Bould’s side an impressive option.
