Jack Wilshere

Talented play-maker Jack Wilshere is gaining a huge reputation as one of the biggest prospects in the Academy, having come through the Hale End system.
Jack is a left footed attack minded midfielder, capable of playing anywhere across the midfield or behind the striker. He is only 170cm but rugged and is willing to chase the ball down and run the channels, his low centre of gravity and deceiving pace allows marking difficult for opposition defenders.
But its his no fear approach when going forward that is impressive, never doubting his ability he is not afraid to shoot from range, and his talent to find space and pick an inch perfect pass makes him one of the most exciting prospect’s in the Academy.
Recently becoming an England Under 17 International, Arsenal rewarded his superb progress by handing him a long term scholarship deal in January 2008.

After watching the reserve game against West Ham last night I’m not sure the description is correct? He seems far more of a creative player than is indicated.

I think he is like Messi or even Pires. Can play centre but I think the team will miss his dynamism if he doesn’t play on the wing. He can cut in like messi and pires and do his good work there.
