Carlos Vela Agrees Terms On New Arsenal Contract

Carlos Vela will commit his long-term future to Arsenal in the coming weeks after his agent, Eduardo Hernández, successfully negotiated fresh terms on a new deal with Chief executive Ivan Gazidis. Vela has agreed in principle and all that remains is for the formalities to be completed and for the Mexican to ink his name on the paper.
The news comes just days after Arsène Wenger confirmed that the 20-year-old is on the comeback trail following a knee injury sustained in training just hours before the Carling Cup tie with Liverpool. Ironically Vela’s first game back should be the same competition as the young Gunners make the trip to Eastlands where Manchester City stand in their way of a place in the semi-finals.
Carlos’ current contract is due to expire in July 2011 and with a handful of Spanish clubs already inquiring about his availability, Wenger has continued his trend of tieing down his most promising youngsters to long-term deals. The official line from the club will be that it’s a ‘long-term’ contract which is expected to be around 4-5 years in length.
Hernández originally sat down with Gazidis in September where tentative talks were held but both parties have significantly stepped things up in recent weeks and an announcement is set to be imminent.
More to follow.

I believe Vela is no longer considered young guns as he is more involved in the first team than the rest of the young guns. Same for ramsey and gibbs.
But I do admit that the future of arsenal is bright with Ramsey, Merida, Vela, Wilshere and Gibbs. Lets not forget those that are already in the first team, but is just equally young, Fabregas, Walcott, Bendtner, Nasri, Denilson and Song.
If the whole bunch of them stays together at arsenal, we are going great. We also have traore, lansbury, JET, frimpong, eastmond, ayling, bartley, nordveit, miguel, hoyte, botelho, mannone, shea, freeman, edge etc.
Arsenal is coming up good.

We consider them a ‘young gun’ whilst they are Under 21. Once they get over that then we won’t cover them any longer.
J.Sanderson said this on November 12, 2009 at 1:54 pm
Absolutely peased, because that kid is good he has both feet, pace, skill, brilliance, and brains. every time he’s played in the right position am assured of a goal from him.I think he deserves some first team football…
arnsam said this on November 12, 2009 at 1:55 pm
From when I first knew about him I realised that he will be a STAR in the mould of Henry.
Pure class, skill and right now he is still so raw…the future is more than bright, the future is Arsenal! We have the stadium and the manager….so much more is to come.
BTW I was chanting “One Carlos Vela” once in a pub opposite the Gunners in Blackstock road and someone heard me (Slightly intoxicated I must say) and sang, “One Can of Stella…”
I wonder if this would catch on!!??

Lansbury I really rate and Frimpong and Eastmond could be good if
they develop more obviously in DM. Jay Thomas is an enigma, but that is an 11 (10 listed cos right back we have no one good) of players I’d love to see to make it in our future squad and all for very little money.

How about Fran Merida? Is he leaving soon?
Seems that he is waiting to Madrid team to bring back him back to Spain.
eric said this on November 12, 2009 at 8:54 pm
great news, now lets play him for fuck sake. Our second choice striking force is Vela, Nick and Theo. I would love to see those three all up-front at the same time, what a show. Nick and Carlos combine so well.
So Vela is not expected back straight after the international break? I can’t wait for the Man Shitty game.

Martin Galvan is a good player. He plays in the whole behind the striker. He made his debut at 14 in the concacaf champions league. I was looking forward to seeing him play in the u17 world cup but for some reason he wasnt in the sqaud even though he starred for Mexico in the qualifiers.

Martin Galván would be able to play in Salamanca with a ceesión of the Arsenal
The forward one of 16 years Martin Galván is near to be become player of the English Arsenal, but its immediate future would not be in that staff, but in in the Salamanca.
